Head, Stem Cell Transplantation The Division of Hematology/Oncology and the Garron Family Cancer Centre at the Hospital for Sick Children, 555 University Ave. Toronto Ontario, an academic health science centre dedicated exclusively to children, affiliated with the University of Toronto, is recruiting a pediatric hematologist/oncologist at the Associate or Full Professor level as Head of the Stem Cell Transplantation Section effective September 1, 2016. The Section presently includes four members with diverse clinical and translational research interests in cellular therapy, pharmacology of transplantation medications, and supportive care for BMT. The successful candidate for this full-time permanent position should have a strong background in translational or laboratory research; those with expertise in cellular therapy are particularly encouraged to apply. All candidates must hold an MD degree and must be certified or eligible for certification in pediatric hematology/oncology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or an equivalent. The successful candidate must be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto. Rank and salary ($280,000 – 330,000) per annum will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be eligible for a benefit package which includes medical, dental, life insurance, long term disability insurance, group insurance, pension plan, vision care, academic allowance, a relocation package and may be eligible for a one time signing bonus.
